It’s back! the fund for children christmas tree decorating contest!
Join the holiday spirit with the Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, proudly sponsored by the Elks of Canada’s National Charities Committee! This festive competition invites you to showcase your creativity and support for the Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children, using the butterfly as a central theme. The butterfly symbolizes the remarkable transformation that children experience as they learn to hear and communicate—emerging from a "cocoon" of silence, ready to embrace the world around them.
To enter, decorate your Christmas tree with a butterfly-inspired design and incorporate a visible message of support for the Elks & Royal Purple Fund for Children. This is your chance to visually represent the powerful impact of this fund, which provides life-changing assistance to children across Canada. We welcome entries from Lodges, groups, and individuals—anyone who wants to spread holiday cheer and raise awareness for this vital cause.
Submit a photo of your decorated tree (paper or digital) to Kevan at the National Office by December 13, 2024. Make sure to include your name, address, Lodge (if applicable), as well as the location of your tree. Winners will be selected by the National Charities Committee and announced on December 20, 2024 with the top trees featured on Facebook and in the Canadian Elk magazine. Exciting prizes await, including Visa gift certificates!
Need some inspiration? Check out the 2016 winners below. If you have any questions, contact Kevan at the National Office at 306-529-1209 or email kmcbeth@elksofcanada.ca.
Happy decorating, and let your tree shine as a symbol of hope and transformation this holiday season!
