These are a few of the projects that the Elks of Canada and our members take part in and support.
Caroline's Cart
Caroline's Cart is a shopping cart designed for special needs children that provides parents and caregivers a viable option to transport a child through a store while grocery shopping, without having to maneuver a wheelchair and a traditional cart at the same time. The Elks of Canada have placed 50+ Caroline's Cart's in provinces across Canada including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
Provincial Walk-A-Thons
Our Provincial Associations love getting int the community and hosting events such as walk-a-thons that in return raise money for some great causes. Our Associations in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba have taken great steps in growing their events. If you're interested in participating in one of these events just get in touch with us and we can point you in the right direction.
CHARITY FOOD DRIVE
In 2016 the Elks of Canada held our first of hopefully many yearly food drives. Lodges from all across the country took part and the response was amazing. The total amount collected exceeded 10,000 lbs of food and over $42,000 donated to food banks across Canada.
